Study Case
Upgrade Manual Weather Monitoring Devices to Online System using Mertani IoT Hardware Platform.
Climate element monitoring is conducted by a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) managing sugarcane commodities in East Java. Climate monitoring is carried out manually at regular intervals by visiting the fields and bringing a laptop. Data from the loggers is collected via USB cables, then brought to the office, reported to the management, and analyzed. In practice, this activity faces various challenges in the field, such as unfavorable weather conditions and sometimes less conducive terrain to reach the location. Therefore, the state-owned enterprise aims to "take their weather data online" from their existing devices in order to automate data collection.
