The MP-160 I-V Tracer (MTI.AWS.EK.160) can be found in factory quality control applications or long-term performance assessment studies of modules exposed to natural conditions outdoors. The cell or module performance characteristics are determined by changing the electrical load during the I-V sweep. The radiant energy on the module energy can be measured simultaneously with the voltage and current measurements in order to calculate to STC or equivalent standards. For outdoor evaluation of PV modules under natural sunlight, the MP-160 offers a high level of flexibility to test several modules at the same time. During long-term exposure tests, automatic measurements can be scheduled for continuous data retrieval of the measurable modules' parameters. By using the module selector, up to 48 modules can be connected to the MP-160 to sequentially measure each individual I-V curve. Similarly, individual temperature measurements are performed with the T-type thermocouple selector. If modules are mounted with different tilt angles, the 5-channel pyranometer selector can be used to measure the total radiation in the plane with the module.
